Born in Denizli in 1979, Dr. Tayfun Turna is originally from Silifke, Mersin. He attended primary school in Barbaros primary school, secondary school and high school in İçel Anatolian High School. He graduated from İAL in 1998 and entered the Faculty of Dentistry of Ankara University in the same year. He graduated with the title of Dentist in 2003 and was appointed as a Dentist Lieutenant at Bilecik Gendarmerie Brigade Hospital for his military service. He returned to Mersin after completing his duty in 2004 and continued his professional life by opening his own practice in the same year. After working as a practice doctor for 10 years, he started to work in the Department of Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery at Çukurova University (Balcalı) Faculty of Dentistry in 2014 for specialization training. After 4 years, he ended his duty as Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist in 2018. He is currently continuing his professional life in his own examination room in Mersin. His areas of expertise are advanced implant surgery, impacted dental surgery, surgery of cysts and tumors of the mouth and jaws, orthognathic surgery, treatment of jaw joint problems, surgical-assisted smile design, botox and dermal filler applications. Dr. Tayfun Turna is married to Specialist Dentist Duygu Turna.
